Help Wanted!

We still need volunteers to help set up and take down chairs and tables for large events. Our hope is to develop a call list of folks in good health and able to lift at least 50 pounds that would be able to help us out using a call tree when needed. Please call Tom Plachta at 989-450-1718 to get on the call list. Thank you for your consideration. Blessings! -Facility Committee

Furniture and household items
On occasion, people have approached the parish office with furniture or a nice household item that they would like to donate to someone in need. Often, we have had to refuse the donation as we have no system to match people to goods. However, we can suggest the following reputable organizations that would greatly appreciate your donations!

Sacred Heart Mission Food Pantry & Thrift Store, Gladwin - 989-426-4661 Donations of non-perishable food items and gently used, clean clothing and household items can be dropped off at the mission during hours of operation. Located at 220 S. James Robertson Drive (in front of the Gladwin Sports Complex)
Helping Hands Mission, Beaverton - 435-9979 located at 116 Brown St, Beaverton. They provide a food pantry for Gladwin, Midland and surrounding counties. Prayer Chain
Our prayer chain is growing! The names you see in the back of the bulletin are just a small percentage of the ones on our active prayer chain. We have a group of folks that pray for anyone upon request. If you have a loved one that is in need, just email or call Marcia at the parish office and she will pass it on to the leader of the prayer chain. And if you would like to be one of our prayer warriors, just let Marcia know. All you need is a willing heart and an active email account for communication. We always welcome new prayer warriors!
